The best EVER gift from Auntie Nikki and crew – a cuddly horse that doubles as a bag! Two of C’s current obsessions (farm animals and handbags) rolled into one. We didn’t get her many gifts this year because we didn’t think she was old enough to ‘get’ Christmas – she’s not really, but boy is she old enough to ‘get’ presents! As she unwrapped this one her eyes lit up with such excitement which was really very sweet to see. Horse and C have been inseparable ever since.

We’re staying with Jon’s dad in Tobermory for Christmas – this is the view across the harbour.

One thing you have to do in Singapore is have a SIngapore Sling in the Long Bar in Raffles hotel. So we did. Even C, who with lightening-fast reactions, grabbed the straw and had a good slurp before I could stop her.

Not strictly taken by me but I’m hoping [jonthegeologist] doesn’t mind me nicking it as it’s quite representative of our day. This is C seeing lulla-lullas for the first time. Lulla-lulla is the noise that giraffes make according to [colugo] (stick your tongue out, wiggle it from side to side and say lulla lulla lulla) and it was pretty much the first word/noise C ever said. These particular lulla-lullas have one of the best views in the world.
